Notation

In Filler a move is a colour, so the game record is simple: the move number, who moved and which colour they chose. Colours are numbered 1 to 9 in the order of the buttons below the board; the number keys pick the same colour. If you turn on colour symbols in the table "Options", each colour gets its own shape — so the colours can be told apart without colour vision.

Clicking a move in the record shows the board after it; the "Back to the game" button returns to the live board. Numbers on the board mark the players' corners.

The scoreboard

Above the board are the game number in the match and the winning threshold: how many cells you need to win the game. For each player you see:

  • their cells in this game;
  • their lead over the opponent: green if you are ahead, red if behind;
  • the distance to the equator — how many cells are left to half the board. Whoever crosses the equator has won the game;
  • in brackets, their match points.

Below, the "border" means the free cells next to your area: that is where a move takes cells from.
