Classic 3×4

The home is three rows of four squares along the bottom edge, with 12 pieces each: a1–d3 for white, e6–h8 for black. Everything else is as in classic 3×3: moves vertically and horizontally, 40 moves to leave home, an 80-move limit, no locking in.

Twelve pieces make the game more crowded and longer: pieces of both colours meet in the middle more often, and there are more jumps over the opponent's pieces. This variant has its own rating. All rules are in the basics.
