Classic 3×3
The home is a 3×3 square with 9 pieces each: a1–c3 for white, f6–h8 for black. Steps and jumps go only vertically and horizontally. Pieces must leave home within 40 moves, the game limit is 80 moves, and locking in the opponent's pieces is not allowed.
This is the club's main variant and the tournament standard: the opening theory is written for it, and the main rating is counted on it. All rules are in the basics.
