Corners — Strategy
VOG — Vinco Online Games
Notation
The board is marked as in checkers: columns are letters a–h from left to
right, rows are numbers 1–8 from the bottom. Square a1 is white's
corner, h8 is black's. On the 16×16 Halma board columns run to p and
rows to 16.
A move is written as the path of the piece with dashes:
c3-d3— a step to a neighbouring square;c3-e3— a jump over the piece ond3;c3-e3-e5-g5— a chain of three jumps.
At the table moves are listed in pairs: the move number, then white's move
and black's move — 12. c3-e3-e5 f6-e6. Clicking a move in the list shows
the position after it; "Back to the game" returns to the live board.
In the topics below "forward" means "towards the opponent's home": up and to the right for white, down and to the left for black.
