Playing against the bots

The rooms with bots have five bots of different strength:

Each bot is clearly stronger than the one before: the first three choose a move from their assessment of the position and sometimes make mistakes, the fewer the higher the level. The master and the strongest calculate several moves ahead, the strongest deeper still.

What the bots do and don't do

• The bots play fair: they don't throw games or stall. They pause half a second to two seconds before a move.
• The bots don't lock in your pieces in the classic game: the rules forbid it.
• The bots never bring a piece back home after the deadline and never shuffle a piece back and forth in the endgame.

Where to start

Start with Kostya_Bot in the classic 3×3 room with bots. Once you win steadily, move on to the next one. Against the strongest, use move counting: in a race against it every move counts.
