Block Dominoes
A game for two. Moving, adjusting the line, the end of a deal and the ways of scoring are shared by all variants and described in the basics. This page covers what is different here.
The deal
Each player gets 7 tiles. The other 14 stay out of play and are never revealed.
No move — pass
There is nowhere to draw from: a player with no move passes, and the pass is made automatically. So blocked games happen much more often than in the draw game, and it pays to count the points in your hand from the first move.
Blocked game example: you hold 1–2 (3 points), your opponent holds 6–4 and 5–5 (20). You win the deal and score 20.
Scoring and the match
The default is winner takes the points, and the match is played to 100.
When offering a game
Tiles per hand — from 2 to 14: without a boneyard the hands may take the whole set.
