Desktop Client Downloads
The full VOG experience is currently available in the desktop client. Start with the launcher: it installs the client and keeps it up to date on its own.

The file is small because delivery works the same way browsers do it, Chrome included: you download a small launcher program, it brings the rest, and from then on it updates everything itself, in the background, with no trips back to the site for a new version. For you that means updates arrive on their own, while games and opponents are installed on demand — no need to download everything up front.

To check what you downloaded, run in PowerShell: Get-FileHash filename.exe -Algorithm SHA256
What Windows may tell you
The launcher file carries no publisher signature, and will not for the foreseeable future. The warnings below are therefore expected rather than a sign that something is wrong.
Windows may show the blue "Windows protected your PC" screen. Click "More info", then "Run anyway".
Your browser may flag the download as rarely downloaded and ask for confirmation. Choose "Save" or "Keep".
Antivirus software may hold the file back for scanning. For a program whose job is downloading and updating other files, that is expected.
The reason is always the same: the file is new and unsigned, so the system has nothing to go on. Keep your antivirus and Windows protection running — instead of switching anything off, verify the SHA-256 checksum of the downloaded file against the one shown above.
Notes
You sign in to the client through your browser — the same way you sign in to the site: an emailed code or your provider. There is no password any more.
The desktop client is still the best option for full gameplay while the browser UI continues to grow.
If your browser does not start the download automatically, open the link in a new tab or allow downloads for vogclub.com.
