The aim of the game is the same as in Backgammon: to move all your men into your home board and then bear them off.

The starting position and play direction are shown below:
Movements
The roll of the dice indicates how many points the player can move forward. Doublets are used twice as usual.
A blot is not taken out when hit. The opponent's man rests on top of the blot and thus makes a point. The result of the game can be draw when each player has no legal moves.
