Chess: ratings carried over, six Stockfish bots
Bullet, blitz, standard and simultaneous matches — in your browser and in the Windows client. Ratings carried over, six Stockfish bots, an archive going back to 2001 and pieces from the old client.
Chess stays in the club. While we release new games, chess works as before — in your browser and in the Windows client.
Where to play
- In your browser — on the chess page, on a computer or a phone. Nothing to install.
- In the Windows client — the latest version is on the downloads page, and after that it updates itself.
You sign in the same way everywhere: with your email, using a code from a letter.
Rooms and bots
Bullet, blitz, standard and simultaneous matches — each with its own rating, carried over from the old club. In the room with bots there are six opponents from Pawn_Bot to King_Bot, all powered by Stockfish: from very easy to very strong.
A quarter of a century in the archive
Finished games have been kept in the archive since 2001 — the old ones and the new ones. You can step through any of them move by move, and the latest ones are shown by the "Telescope" on the home page.
Table options
The Options have the pieces and board from the old client: plain squares or wood. The archive and the "Telescope" draw the board the way you set it up. You can also make pawns promote straight to a queen and show captured pieces. The rules are in the Rules section.
See you at the board!
